Sant Sebastià and Sant Miquel beaches

The most located to the west, it is chaired by two sports clubs with a great aquatic tradition, such as the Club Natació Barcelona and Atlètic Barceloneta, before the imposing gaze of the majestic Hotel W. It is one of the most frequented beaches by the people of Barcelona and enjoys of equipments that facilitate the bathroom for people with mobility problems. Sant Miquel, for its part, is one of the busiest and oldest areas of the city to practice bathing.

Four beaches that recall the historical memory of the city

Part of the Barceloneta beach, and those of Somorrostro, Nova Icària and Bogatell housed a neighborhood of barracks that was in force from the middle of the 19th century until 1966 and that housed up to 15,000 people in very precarious conditions.
