Route in BTT: La volta de les fonts

We propose you a plan! A mountain bike itinerary very close to your rental apartment in BeCorp · Terrassa. You will visit the natural environment of Terrassa and Matadepera and you will discover 12 of the fountains of the territory. In addition, you can marvel at the panoramic views of Sant Llorenç del Munt and Montserrat.

Shall we start? “La volta de les fonts” has its starting point very close to your new rental home, in the Vallparadís park. Here you will find the sources of the “Tintorer”, “Rossinyol”, “Torrent de les Bruixes” and “les Basses de la Mútua”.

In a few minutes you will leave Terrassa to take the “camí dels Monjos”. This path is so named because it was formerly used by monks to go from La Mola to the monastery of Sant Cugat del Vallès.

Later, you will arrive at the hermitage of Santa Magdalena. At this point, you will be at the gates of Matadepera. Cross the center of the town and pedal to the source of La Tartana.

We recommend you take a break because, after this stop, the path is up to the Mola massif. Through the “camí Moliner” you will enter a development that will take you to the Can Robert farmhouse. From here you can easily access Can Pobla.

You will go down to the stream of “les Arenes” and you will start a long climb to the “coll de la Riba”, where there is a fountain with the same name. The path continues to the “Casa Nova de l’Obac”. Do not miss the other two farmhouses: “Pineda” and “Guitard”. Different sources are scattered in this area: the “Guitard”, the “Cirera”, the “Racó” and “l’Alba”.

You will have to prepare for a new climb with which you will reach the source of the “Troncó”. Back in Terrassa, you will pass close to the “Joanot” fountain and the old Terrassa Sanatorium building, which is today the City of Cinema.

We are arriving! Between the cultivated fields, you will see a path that will lead you back to the Vallparadís park, just 1 minute by bike from your rental apartment in BeCorp · Terrassa!
